Rain dance meant shiver session for Lara, Vivek

Lara Dutta and Vivek Oberoi may look like an ideal happy couple while dancing in the rain in "Masti", but both actors said the experience was anything but pleasurable because of the biting cold.
The duo had to dance in artificial rain at Mumbai's Mehboob Studios Friday.
Lara is a novice at rain dancing. She said: "Since this was the first time I danced in artificial rain and it was already so cold, it was unbearable. Every time I finished a shot and stepped out of the rain, it felt so good."
At one stage, she was shivering so much that she had to take a Crocin tablet. The model actress was popping Halls throughout the shooting.
"Vivek even said we must slow down shooting as it felt like we were in a refrigerator," said Lara.
Both stars were too busy shivering to enjoy the rain and, once a sequence was shot, they rushed into the comfort of their vans.
Lara was also constantly monitoring her shots on the TV screen after each shot.
Choreographer Ganesh Hegde said: "The romantic number was supposed to be on the roof of a bungalow. But since shooting at that height would have been difficult, we decided to recreate the sets indoors. Another advantage was that since it is a night sequence, we could even play with the lighting in the studio."
Vivek explained: "The film is about three married men who get an itch after marriage. We have heard of a seven-year itch but here it is a three-year itch! Once they decide to stray, life becomes a roller coaster ride."
The film also stars Aftab Shivdasani, Ajay Devgan, Amrita Rao, Genelia and Tara Sharma. Indra Kumar, known for entertaining family dramas, is directing it.
"As the title suggests, we had a lot of masti throughout the shooting of this film. For the first time we tried to organise a workshop for around four-five days where all the stars came and read their dialogues and it seemed like we were practising a play," said Kumar, who has made hits like "Dil", "Beta" and "Raja".
The film is ready and will release on April 9, said producer Ashok Thakeria.
He added: "I felt like the entire unit was full of my friends. After working with an actor like Aamir Khan, who is so passionate about his work, when I saw Vivek, I felt that he had surpassed the senior actors in terms of his acting."
On the workshop, he said: "I still get SMSes from Aftab who says he misses the entire gang - he was the one who would first ask me what there was for lunch!"
