Bachchan, Bipasha deny seeing 'Fear'

By IANS

It is common knowledge that both "Inteha" and "Aetbaar" are inspired from the Mark Wahlberg-starrer "Fear" (1996).

John Abraham's character has negative shades. He plays a man fatally obsessed with Bipasha Basu. The latter falls into his trap even as her overprotective father, played by Amitabh Bachchan, becomes cognisant of John's sinister designs and tries to persuade her to come around.

Vikram Bhatt's "Inteha", starring Ashmit Patel, Vidya Malavade with Nauheed Cyrusi, had a similar subject except that there was an overprotective sister (Vidya) as opposed to an overprotective father!

"Inteha" bombed miserably!

Bachchan and Bipasha said they had not seen "Fear". Asked Bipasha: "Is it a good movie? I have never seen it".

John, however, said he had seen the movie and agreed that "Aetbaar" was inspired by the Hollywood flick. "I only hope that our movie is as good as 'Fear'," says John.
