The story about NFDC and the 39 co producers:
After 3 years of struggle, NFDC approved to co produce this movie but with a lesser budget. Even after putting in some of his own savings, Rajat was falling still short for the shoestring budget. Taking desperate measures, he emailed friends asking them to be co producers of the film and buy shares worth Rs. 10,000/-.
After his interview with some websites, the word got around and he started getting mails from all over the world from people who believed in the type of cinema that Raghu was. Those who couldn't send money offered to sing, write or make a website and more so loads of good wishes poured in. He replied to each mail individually. Thus Raghu Romeo ended up having 39 co producers and many more well-wishers.
