The nightingale of India, Lata Mangeshkar, has recorded a thoughtful theme song, "Kitne ajeeb rishtey hain yahan pe", composed by music director Shamir Tandon for the film "Page 3".

The song is a take on new age relationships.

After cutting down on playback singing drastically - apart from Yash Chopra's films - Lata has made an exception this time and chosen to sing for Madhur Bhandarkar's "Page 3".

Shamir Tandon is also general manager of EMI Music India. Lyrics are by Sandeep Nath.

Ecstatic about his experience of recording with Lata, Tandon said: "The entire 'Page 3' team is very excited about the song. The song is not lip synced in the film, so we requested Lata to sing completely in her style.

"She was a pleasure to record with. She made us all very comfortable, did a lot of rehearsals, added a lot of value to the song - musically and lyrically - and made the entire experience a very pleasurable one."
