Taj Mahal to be dubbed in Arabic
By Viral Bhayani, IANS
The magnum opus "Taj Mahal - an eternal love story", one of the most expensive Indian films in recent times, will also be released in Arabic with plans to get it dubbed in the language by experts from Egypt.
It promises to be a lavishly mounted film. A beautiful recreation of the Sheesh Mahal, glass palace, at the Film City here is perhaps one of the finest sets ever created.
"It is a colossal effort which requires systematic coordination of colour, costumes, the texture of the furniture, lighting and the speech pattern of artistes. All this becomes necessary while recreating a bygone era. Attention to detail is a must," says filmmaker Akbar Khan.
Major portions of the film have been shot at the Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur. Interiors of the Taj Mahal and the Agra Fort have been recreated in the fort.
The famous battle of Samugarh, where more than 2,000 soldiers clashed, will be shot in India as well as Uzbekistan.
Khan has also clarified that all problems with actress Kim Sharma have been sorted out. Though he had complained about her not reporting on the sets, he now says: "As you can see we are working together and we have cleared our doubts."
But Kim still stayed away at a recent press conference where all the stars and technicians were present. She later said that things were fine.
