Download LOC-Kargil WallpapersWar epics are still in vogue -- notwithstanding the debacle of J.P. Dutta's "LOC-Kargil" -- but the man behind "Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Sathiyon" says his film is not about violence and killing people.

Anil Sharma, who gave us the blockbuster "Gadar", insists he is a peacenik and his latest film reflects that.

His much talked about "Ab Tumhare Hawale..." has a star studded cast led by Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar and Bobby Deol.

Besides, the film introduces Divya Khosla and stars Sandali Sinha, Nagma, Aarti Chabria, Rajesh Vivek, Govind Namdeo, Danny and Ashutosh Rana amongst others.

The buzz was that Akshay was quite apprehensive about doing the film because he did not want to mouth anti-Pakistan dialogues in the film and hurt the sentiments of millions of fans across the border.

But that is "completely untrue", said Anil adamantly.

"I'm a peace-loving man. I will never do things that would affect the friendship between our two nations. My movie is a war film but it is not about violence and killing people -- if you see, my film's USP is emotion."

The film revolves around the lives of army officers, Amitabh Bachchan playing a Sikh officer for the first time and his relationship with his grandson Bobby Deol and newcomer Kapil Sharma."

He clarified that rumours that Akshay was playing Bobby's father were untrue.
Interestingly, Akshay dons the Indian Army uniform for the first time in a film.

"For him, it was a first time. He even prayed before wearing the Indian Army uniform," Anil told IANS.

The song is rendered by Sonu Nigam, Udit Narayan and Kailash Kher and is penned by Sameer.

"But we would not be using the entire song in the film as that would be a bit too much for viewers," Anil explained.

Besides, "Ab Tumhare Hawale..." boasts of Rajasthani folksongs like "Sarpe dupatta mere pyaar ka". It was shot in Bikaner and Jaisalmer. It will be first time that the famous desert festival of Rajasthan has been shot for a film.

"We have even incorporated a desert storm that happened there while we were shooting during this film," Anil said.
