Bindaas Boyz, formerly known as Boy-C, is perhaps India's only multilingual band that is equally adept in English, Hindi and Punjabi.

"When we formed the band in 1998, we were called Boys of Your Choice or Boy-C. Times Music wanted us to have a very Indian name and so we changed it to Bindaas Boyz since our image is also very chilled," said Vikram as other band members George, Sanjeev and Saawan nodded.

"Our album is out and out pop. There are influences of Punjabi, remixes and also original compositions," added Vikram.

Bindaas Boyz has done more than 80 shows till date, as also opening acts for artistes like Sukhbir, Sukhvinder Singh and Harbhajan Mann.

"Movie premiers, college festivals, public concerts, road shows, festive celebrations, private parties -- you name it and we have done it," said Vikram.

With so much competition and Bollywood music having a far more important place, where does that leave them?

"It is going to take time for us to distinguish our sound in the clutter. We agree that the music is sounding the same these days but once we are heard we will make the difference felt," Vikram felt.

With a background in communication design and event management, Vikram, who describes himself as a writer/composer and sound designer also has a degree in accessory design from the National Institute of Fashion Technology.

George has enthralled audiences all over the Middle East and Africa. An active participant in cultural activities during his college days, he has acted and sung in musicals.

Born in a musical family, Sanjeev has honed his skill as a musician and a singer under a lot of reputed names.

An active theatre personality in his home state of Jammu and Kashmir, Saawan polished his skills under well-known stage director M.K Raina. He has done shows all over Latin America and the Middle East.
