Producer-director Karan Johar had said almost a year back that parts of Anil Kapoor’s GANDHI MY FATHER, which he had an occasion to see, had moved him. It is a fact that the show reel stuns the viewers for many reasons.

For once, the pre-independence era has been recreated fabulously. Secondly, Akshaye Khanna’s performance seems to be of a very high order. The talented actor plays Mahatma Gandhi’s son in the film. Mahatma Gandhi’s character is essayed by another very talented actor, Darshan Zariwala.

Anil has made the film in two languages, Hindi and English. It has been directed by theatre actor Feroz Khan. The worldwide distribution rights of both the versions have been acquired by Eros Multimedia for a fantastic price. Anil himself has pumped in a lot of money in making the film.
