Akshay Kumar's fourth consecutive 'Eid' release

Akshay KumarIt all started in the year 2004 when Mukta Arts', Abbas-Mustan directed, Akshay Kumar, Kareena and Priyanka starrer, AITRAAZ, hit the screens during the 'Eid'-'Diwali' period. The next year saw him in Priyadarshan's GARAM MASALA. On both the occasions, the Akshay starrers scored at the box-office, though pitted against mighty oppositions, like Shah Rukh Khan's VEER-ZARA and Salman Khan's KYON KI.

However, lady luck ran out the third time, as Shah Rukh Khan's DON proved to be too strong an opposition for the Akshay-Salman starrer, JAAN-E-MAN. An interesting point to be noted here is that, on all the three occasions, the makers had tried to take the maximum advantage of the festive mood.

Keeping up with the tradition, it now seems that Akshay Kumar is likely to have his fourth consecutive 'Eid' release this year, in the form of Priyadarshan's BHOOL BHULAIYAA, on October 12.
