August continues to be a movie-heavy month and the weekend of August 17 won't be any exception. The only difference here is that each of the three releases of the week promise to be a feel-good outing for audience.
Biggest release of the week is Salman Khan starrer MARIGOLD: An Adventure In India, which is about a Hollywood actress falling in love with a Bollywood dance choreographer played by Salman. The film promises to be a family entertainer with 'feel-good' ingredients being thrown in for good measure. Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy have composed the music for the film while Javed Akhtar saab has written the lyrics.
Same holds good for Smita Thackery's KAISE KAHE which stars newcomers. A romantic emotional drama, the film acts as a launch-pad of Rajveer and Neha Julka and is targeting school and college crowds. The film has music by Pritam.
Third release of the week, BUDDHA MAR GAYA is a comedy featuring a dead man as a central protagonist. Anupam Kher plays the key role in the film as he is supported by veterans like Om Puri, Paresh Rawal and Prem Chopra with Rakhi Sawant playing a femme fatale. While Bappi Lahiri has composed for the film, Rahul Rawail is at the helm of direction. The film is being touted to make you 'die with laughter' while ensuring that you feel good after spending those two hours in the auditorium.
Certainly, 'feel-good' is the 'mantra' for 3 releases of Aug 17.
