View 'BUDDHA MAR GAYA' Press Meet - Picture GalleryRakhi Sawant may have starred in Shahrukh Khan starrer MAIN HOON NAA, directed by Priyadarshan in MALAMAAL WEEKLY and made an exclusive guest appearance in Sanjay Gupta's SHOOTOUT AT LOKHANDWALA, but the film which should be now hailed as her biggest break ever is BUDDHA MAR GAYA.

Directed by Rahul Rawail, who was once a force to reckon with after films like BETAAB, ARJUN, DACAIT and ANJAAM, the film is a comic caper that features Rakhi as the lone female lead. Though the film doesn't have a traditional hero-heroine angle to it, Rakhi features as a femme fatale whose seducing ways are responsible for the death of many a men in the film.

All of this is projected comically in the film which stars seasoned comic actors like Paresh Rawal, Anupam Kher, Om Puri and Ranvir Shorey. The film's promotion also features Rakhi prominently which makes her fans look forward to seeing her in probably her first substantial role ever.

Come August 17 and the verdict on Rakhi's foray into playing a leading lady would be out.
