GURU is not a documentary

Every biggie brings with it some loose talks originating from certain irresponsible sections of media. GURU is no exception!
The latest joke going around the town is that (believe it or not!) GURU resembles a documentary and is a lukewarm show all the way. Though the sanity (or the lack of it) behind the latter part of the statement should be confirmed once the film releases on January 12th, what actually surprises is the comparison of GURU to a documentary.
The world is aware that Mani Ratnam has gone all out in making GURU, his most commercial Hindi film venture after DIL SE and YUVA which suffered from their own share of (unwanted) bad press.
Now with promos igniting the heat all around and making people sit up and take notice of the film, it is indeed a sad state of affairs for such unscrupulous remarks.
In fact as per the insiders, the film has a knockout performance by Abhishek Bachchan while Mithun Chakraborty is another actor who is said to have delivered a truly worthwhile comeback performance.
The mastery of Mani Ratnam as a film maker is touted to be the USP of the film and if the terrific response to the film's music is anything to go by, GURU should well be the first success of the year!
May the rumor mongers take a chill pill and look for their next lucrative target! After all their bluff should be out in open once the ‘janta-janardhan’ gives their final verdict.
