Now it's Urmila's turn to croon with Asha Bhonsle

Asha Bhonsle hand picked her friends when it came to crooning along with them for the first volume of her experimental music album ASHA & FRIENDS.
Roping in men as diverse as Bollywood superstar Sanjay Dutt and Australian speedster & rock band member Brett Lee was a masterstroke on her part as it aroused immense curiosity about what was in store with this album.
The trick worked as songs like 'Aapke Dil Mein Thodi Si Jagah Chahiye' and 'Haan Main Tumhaara Hoon' with Sanjay and Brett respectively have clicked with the audience and come with a good retention value.
Now Ashaji fans would have a lot more to celebrate as they would be witnessing her getting into a duet with none other than Urmila Matondkar.
Titled 'Mehbooma Dilruba', a rock 'n' roll track that has both Ashaji and Urmila getting into a jugalbandi and coming up with a holds-no-bar performance, it doesn't have a single moment that would make you sit back and relax.
An engaging duet between the two females, it has Ashaji continuing to be the experienced singer we have known for decades but Urmila too doesn't do a bad job either with her first ever recorded and released number.
Though one would have thought that recording with a legend like Ashaji would impact her crooning in a negative way, that's not quite true as she does a fine job.
Written by Vijay Akela, this Asha/Urmila is another winner number in the album that has music by Shamir Tandon.
