All hell broke lose when National Award winning director Rajeev Nath expressed his desire to cast Paris Hilton as Mother Teresa in his English film. The Malayalam filmmaker has been making films for the last three decades and has also won a National Award for the film JANANI. His first Hindi film ANUBHAV stars Sanjay Suri, Gul Panag and Jackie Shroff in pivotal roles.
The film portrays the trials and tribulations of a group of theatre artistes (Anoop Menon, Meeta Vashisht, Rakesh Bedi etc) with Sanjay Suri as the protagonist and Gul Panag, a theatre aficionado.
Says Rajeev, “ANUBHAV is the story of a theatre actor’s struggle to achieve his dreams. Sanjay Suri aspires to become a Bollywood actor but fate has other plans for him. He turns a gigolo under unavoidable circumstances.”
“Gul is a theatre lover hailing from an affluent background. She falls in love with Sanjay and marries him despite her parent’s disapproval,” continues Rajeev.
An item song choreographed by Pony Varma introduces Rakhi (popular down South) in the film. “This is a promotional song and a very important part of the film. I have given it a very different look and I’m sure the audience will love it.”
The music is scored by Aadesh Srivastav and Krishna Mohan. The film is produced by Famous Studios Ltd through MMR Entertainment.
