Mithoon confident about AGGAR

Tushar Kapoor & SophiyaAGGAR should finally change my continued run of “delivering hit music in a flop film', says an amused yet confident Mithoon.

'It has been like that ever since I composed a few songs for BAS EK PAL. The number 'Tere Bin' is played even till date though unfortunately the film couldn't survive at the box office. Same happened with ANWAR and THE TRAIN, says Mithoon modestly who after a hattrick of successful albums still remains the same humble young man as he was during his earlier days at Bollywood.

Nevertheless, he has his facts in place when he says so. Even though 'Maula Mere' and 'Javeda Zindagi' from ANWAR have been hailed as two of the most soothing songs to have been churned out in recent times, the film was a washout. THE TRAIN was a little better though presence of songs like ‘'Woh Ajnabee', 'Mausam', 'Beete Lamhein' and 'Teri Tamanna' promised a much better stay at the theaters for the film.

'But there is nothing in my hands here', confesses Mithoon who is touted to be one of the brightest newcomers on the Bollywood musical scene today.

'I have always believed in doing my best even if that requires me to keep the quantity of my songs down. Now I hope that the trend changes for better with AGGAR and not just the music becomes a hit but even the film turns out to be successful', confesses Mithoon.

The music is due for release on 28th July. How does it feel? 'I am quite excited about the release of film's music and looking forward to check audience reaction. I have a strong belief that they would have something to cheer about yet again. Just like my previous albums, I have strong vibes about AGGAR as well.'

What makes him to be so sure about the music? 'Apart from the fact that I genuinely believe the music to have turned out well, the USP of the soundtrack is Mithoon-Sayeed Quadri pairing. Sayeed bhai has given me such beautiful lyrics in the past for each of my films. Yet again for AGGAR he has kept it simple by writing lyrics that are comprehendible for all. You would realize that once you hear the album'.

He may be sure about the hard work he has put in the recording studio, but is he also confident about the way the songs would be presented in the film? 'The music goes quite well with the film's narrative and director Ananth Mahadevan has made sure that the presence of music in the film is justified. Remember the way he used the songs so well in AKSAR?' asks the 22 year old before signing off.

Starring Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Udita Goswami and Sophie Chaudhary in principal roles, this Narendra Bajaj - Shyam Bajaj thriller is looking at a September release.
