View SHOOTOUT AT LOKHANDWALA Premiere Picture GalleryNot many will remember that director J P Dutta had planned a movie by the name of CHOODIYAN with Sanjay Dutt, right after his KSHATRIYA in 1993. However, the project got stalled due to Dutt's legal battles. It now seems that Dutta is all ready to start the movie again.

According to one of Dutta's unit members, the original cast had Raveena opposite Dutt, but obviously it will be another leading lady. What is interesting to note is that the original film was planned as a youthful romance but may now become a mature love story.

J P Dutta must be going through tough times, specially after the not so successful REFUGEE, LOC : KARGIL and UMRAO JAAN. Here is hoping that the glorious days of GHULAMI, BATWARA and especially BORDER are here once again for this big canvas filmmaker.
