A wrestler or a real estate builder?
Joginder Tuteja, Bollywood Trade News Network
Character artist Manoj Pahwa, who has played a number of interesting characters in the few years since he has been in the industry, has an important Friday coming up. And that's because two of his films featuring him in important roles are releasing together.
They are SAY SALAAM INDIA and KHANNA & IYER.
In the film SAY SALAAM INDIA, he plays a wrestling Guru named Surinder Huda. Surinder Huda is someone who simply detests the word 'cricket'. Reason? As per him, it was cricket that had destroyed sports like Kushti, Kabaddi and Hockey that were otherwise popular for ages. Hence when the boys in his school try to take up cricket as a profession, he becomes all flared up and throws a fit.
Well, this is not the only area place where you would find him frustrated. Because in his other release KHANNA & IYER, he plays the father of a young girl [Aditi Sharma] who elopes with her lover [Sarvar Ahuja]. A multimillionaire real estate builder and an influential man in the city of Mumbai, he goes all out to ensure that the girl returns back home while the boy is put behind bars.
The good part about both the characters played by Pahwa is that there is a light hearted take on the entire situation without any heavy duty drama or dialogue-baazi. Both SAY SALAAM INDIA and KHANNA & IYER have a feel good factor attached to them that is only made further enjoyable due to Pahwa's comic antics.
