The standard, 'rivalry with Akshay' reason has been attributed by a section of the media, for Suneil Shetty opting out of Vipul Shah's, Anees Bazmee directed, Akshay Kumar starrer, SINGH IS KINNG.

However, that is far from the truth. As per Vipul himself, Suniel is the producer of Apoorva Lakhia's MISSION ISTANBUL and his dates were clashing with those required for SINGH IS KINNG and his priority was obviously his own production. Vipul has now signed the promising Sonu Sood, the second male lead of AAHSIQ BANAYA AAPNE. Sonu confirmed the news and is expected to join the shooting of the film, sometimes in November.

While on SINGH IS KINNG, the shooting is to commence in Australia's exotic Gold Coast, early next month.
