In Mumbai, on the Saturday gone by, one person who would have been smiling most could well be composer Pritam. And no, it was not just due to India's win over Australia but also the fact that his songs were played loud (and throughout the match's duration) at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai.
Picture this. The song which was clearly the darling of the crowds was 'Hare Krishna Hare Raam' (BHOOL BHULAIYAA). Whenever there was a thrilling moment in the match, the song was a clear favorite for the DJ at the stadium. This is not all. If a boundary was struck or a catch was taken, the number which was the center of attraction was 'Mauja Hi Mauja' (JAB WE MET), yet again a Pritam composition.
To add to this, cherry on the cake was a huge banner of GOAL which loomed large at the stadium. A John-Arshad-Bipasha-Boman starrer, GOAL is a UTV production, the music of which would arrive on stands soon. And yes, you guessed it right; the film has music by Pritam.
Of course, no sports party celebrating India's win can ever get over without Sukhwinder Singh's 'Chak De'. Hence, it came as no surprise that when Dhoni hit the winning six, the DJ, all this while ready with the copy of this Salim-Sulaiman anthem number, was raring to go to play the song loud and strong!
