MUMBAI SALSA may be a film comprising of young newcomers and would have arrived silently at the theaters but one girl who seems to have benefited most from this light hearted urban tale is Manjari Phadnis.
Manjari Phadnis, who, some may ask? Well, she is the leading lady of this directorial debut by acclaimed writer Manoj Tyagi and enacts the role of a Senior Human Resources Manager in a corporate house.
Her character requires her to balance her professional and personal life well as she goes through her own share of heart breaks, one night stands, career re-assessments, partying with friends, managing her team, wining and dining. In nutshell, a role that requires her to be draped in sarees as well short skirts.
So does she do well there? Of course yes. Coming up with a confident act, Manjari, who looks like a cross between Rimmi Sen and Shilpa Shetty, is quite good as she handles her role with utmost sincerity and maturity.
From a school girl in her debut film ROK SAKO TO ROK LO to a working professional in MUMBAI SALSA, it has been a healthy transition for Manjari.
