Rakhi SawantRakhi Sawant has signed a film with Sidhesh Films Pvt. Ltd. to be directed by Aditya Raj Kapoor (Son of Shammi Kapoor) titled BALTIDEVI QUEEN OF SOUTHALL - a musical. The film is produced by Balakumar and Rajeev Agarwal and is set to go on floors in December 2007.

Rakhi is ecstatic about the new film, she said, "The movie is about migrants in London and their lives from rags to riches. It's a women oriented subject and I am lucky to be working with Aditya Raj Kapoor."

Aditya says, "Rakhi is a daring and the 'female Govinda', this film showcases her talent. I always wanted Rakhi for this role and I am happy that my producers Balakumar and Rajeev agreed to it."

It's a musical endeavour that bears resemblance to her own life and we hope that her dream of becoming a recognized actress come true from this author-backed role film.
