Unlike the last few weeks, the coming Friday will witness multiple releases. The list goes something like this - Milind Soman's BHRAM, KAHAANI GUDIYA KI, Pakistan's KHUDA KAY LIYE and the clear front runner, Samar Khan's SHAURYA. In fact, it is likely to be a straight contest between Naseeruddin Shah's KHUDA KAY LIYE and the Rahul Bose, Kay Kay Menon, Jaaved Jafferi, Minissha Lamba, Deepak Dobriyal starrer SHAURYA. Chances are that SHAURYA will take the poll position, thanks to its stellar cast, splendid and exciting promos, melodious and apt music and of course Samar Khan's adapt handling of the subject.

Last week's Ashwani Dhir directed comedy flick, ONE TWO THREE, featuring Sunil Shetty, Tusshar Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Upen Patel, Esha Deol, Sameera Reddy, Tanisha Mukherjee and Neetu Chandra, was off to a mixed response. While Bombay saw a fair start, the opening was fairly nice in U.P. and Rajsthan, but not up to the mark in C.I. and C.P. Berar. But as we had said in our last column, its reasonable price and quite a steady weekend may just about take the film to safety or even into the profit zone. However, the biggest surprise is the performance of ONE TWO THREE in the Overseas, considering its face value, star cast and price. The film manages to gross an impressive $246,724 from the US and a decent $76,473 from UK, and with almost a similar print average.
