Slowly but steadily, animation is turning into big business as a part of the Hindi film industry. With major corporate houses showing interest in making animation flicks and actors (big as well as small) being game for dubbing for the animation characters, it is high time that Bollywood too is witness to at least one animation flick every month.
One such example is Phoebus Creations Media's DASHAVATAR which is produced by Vimal Shah and directed by Bhavik. The film is special because not just it manages to bring together elements of myth and devotion; it also ropes in quite a few mainstream actors to dub for numerous characters in the film.
So while Shreyas Talpade seems like just the perfect fit for 'Naarad Muni', Sachin Khedekar would be dubbing for 'Lord Vishnu'. For the villain 'Hiranakshyapu', Ashish Vidyarthi is just the right choice while 'Apsara' would have Rupali Ganguly lending her vocals. Over and above these actors, Shatrughan Sinha stands tall from the front as he takes up the responsibility of being the narrator of DASHAVATAR,
A film which knits together the fascinating stories of Ram, Krishna, Parshuram, Vaman, Narsimha, Buddha and the tales of Vishnu in earlier avatars Matsya, Kurma and Varaha and finally Kalki, DASHAVATAR is aiming for a release these summer vacations.
