Now this would really be a first for a leading hero in Bollywood. Nikhil Dwivedi, who stars in KHALLBALLI FUN UNLIMITED, faces a strange predicament as his comedy flick gets postponed yet again. After a couple of shifting of dates, 19th December was supposed to be the D day for this Ajay Chandok directed film. However, now the film has been moved all the way to 2009 and would most likely arrive on 9th January.
The film's arrival on the second Friday of the year is a strange coincidence for young Nikhil. Reason? His debut film MY NAME IS ANTHONY GONSALVES, which released last year, had also arrived on the second Friday. Its release date was 11th January 2008 and the fact is that the E Niwas directed MNIAG too had its own share of delays and postponing before its eventual day of arrival. The film had flopped badly is a different story altogether though.
On the part of One More Thought Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., the banner which brings KHALLBALLI FUN UNLIMITED, it is a sane decision to move the film's release since 19th December, the date which was earlier decided as the day of release, was suicidal to say the least. With RAB NE BANA DI JODI on one hand and GHAJINI on another, it was only foolhardy to expect any footfalls.
Though the journey ahead is tough as well due to CHANDNI CHOWK TO CHINA releasing on 16th January, it still is a relatively better situation for this film that has '32 comedians coming together' as it's USP.
