Well known singer–composer duo Toshi and Sharib Sabri were joined by actor Adhyayan Suman performing to packed halls of over 3000 students at Jai Hind College's festival Talaash and Ruia College's festival Aarohan to promote the upcoming movie RAAZ– THE MYSTERY CONTINUES. The eagerly awaited horror movie, starring Adhyayan Suman, Kangana Ranaut and Emraan Hashmi, hits theatres on 23rd January 2008 and its critically acclaimed soundtrack formed the basis of the promotions.

Delighted fans screamed, clapped and sang along with Toshi and Sharib singing ‘Maahi’ and the movie's Title Track, underscoring the popularity of the recently launched album and loving the high energy, electrifying performance by the siblings.

But what was clearly most entertaining and popular amongst the students, and certainly the highlight of the afternoon was Adhyayan Suman singing the just launched track 'Soniyo' solo himself. The ballad, originally rendered by Sonu Niigam is one where Adhyayan's character Yash serenades Nandita (Kangana Ranaut) in the movie.

Students were unanimous in their opinion that Adhyayan was a REALLY good singer. The fact was underscored when due to a technical glitch at Ruia's Aarohan, the background score stopped mid–way through his song, and Adhyayan without blinking an eyelid, continued his performance acapella. He further charmed audiences and thrilled the girls who volunteered to be on stage with him by serenading them with his song and dancing with them.

Has Adhyayan had any formal training as a singer? "No, I have not received formal training, but both my parents sing and we've always had music instruments and lots of music playing in the house, so I've certainly been exposed to music a lot. Infact there's a whole Karaoke set–up at my place that's fun. But also, I believe that if I put my mind to something, I can do it. I think that's true of most people, but you have to have the will and confidence to give it a go."

Says Adhyayan, "It is amazing to be back at a college again. The events were high energy and real fun. It's fantastic to be able to perform for an audience that gives you so much love back in return, especially when you're nervous because it’s your first time on stage singing! Soniyo is a really special track. It gets straight to my heart each time I hear it. It's the song my character sings in the film, so its even more meaningful that it's the first song I've sung in front of a live audience."

And when they wouldn't let him get off stage after his performance, he charmingly agreed to do yet another song, and invited Toshi, Sharib and many other students on stage to join him for a dance sequence on O Jaana.

Will he want to go back to college? "For another show like this, why not? It was great!"
