Even after some notable performances in films like MIXED DOUBLES, PYAAR KE SIDE EFFECTS, KHOSLA KA GHOSLA, BHEJA FRY, TRAFFIC SIGNAL and HONEYMOON TRAVELS PVT. LTD., Ranvir Shorey is still being termed as a bad actor. And this is not just by any outsider but film maker Rajat Kapoor himself.
Well, that's the kind of character which Rajat Kapoor wants Ranvir to enact in his upcoming release MITHYA. Inspired by a mythical tale, the film features Ranvir in the role of a bad actor who believes that he has it in him to be a star in the film industry. As VK, he travels to Mumbai from his humble background only to find his life turning topsy turvy as he encounters varied characters (like Naseeruddin Shah and Vinay Pathak) belonging to the underworld.
A satire, the film features Ranvir as a central protagonist who has Neha Dhupia paired opposite him. A Planman Motion Pictures release, MITHYA is produced by Arindam Chaudhuri and is all set for 8th February release.
