JANNAT - Bhatts' trump card?

Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt would certainly be relying upon their first release of 2008 - JANNAT. And why not? After all it comes in the wake of some recent box office failures coming from Vishesh Films like SHOWBIZ, DHOKHA, AWARAPAN and THE KILLER. Even WOH LAMHE, the production house's lone success in recent times, wasn't a smash hit and only did above average business.

With their hunt on for a bona fide box office hit, Vishesh Films have all the right reasons to believe in JANNAT as their trump card. It makes sense as well considering the fact that the film stars their blue eyed boy Emraan Hashmi as the central protagonist. With his career best performance in AWARAPAN behind him, he is only expected to improve further on in JANNAT, a film centered on the nexus of betting and match fixing.

Marking the debut of director Kunal Deshmukh, JANNAT has music by Pritam and is aiming for a 21st March release.
