The district administration of Fatehpur (Uttar Pradesh) has denied permission to the Bachchans and some prominent politicians to fly in via helicopters in order to lay the foundation stone of the Aishwarya Rai Bachchan school in Daulatpur village of the district.
As per our Fatehpur based sources, the entire Bachchan clan (Amitabh, Jaya, Abhishek and Aishwarya), close friend and politician, Amar Singh, former Chief Ministers, Dr. Farooque Abdullah (J&K), Chandra Babu Naidu (Andhra Pradesh) and Mulayam Singh Yadav (U.P), were to fly into Daulatpur in four helicopters, later this month. Amar Singh's Samajwadi party had seeked permission for the same. The district administration has given lack of infrastructure as the reason for the denial of the permission and has instead advised road travel.
However, latest reports that are coming in from Fatehpur say that there is some progress as far as landing permission is concerned, with the administration laying down certain preconditions that need to be fulfilled.
While on the megastar, Amitabh Bachchan, is presently shooting in Kullu-Manali and has refused to comment on the above development to the local media.
