YRF plans entertainment district in Dubai

Yash Raj Films (YRF), India's premier film making studio, has entered into an agreement with Dubai Infinity Holdings, the innovative and empowering investments enterprise of Dubai. The partnership signed by Mr. Yash Chopra and Samira Abdulrazzak, CEO, Dubai Infinity Holding is to build a large scale entertainment district dedicated to the prestigious film brand.
The Yash Raj Films Entertainment District will comprise of theme park attractions, a movie palace, unique hotels and many other unique Indian genre entertainment concepts. All the components of the YRF District will be themed around the YRF banner.
"When YRF decided to venture into the Theme Park business, we found Dubai to be the most strategic location. Dubai has a booming tourism industry and aims to be the most visited destination in the World by 2015. Also, UAE has a huge fan following of our Indian films and are watched and cherished not only by the South East Asian Diaspora but also by the Local population. Dubai Infinity Holdings is a dynamic investment company and what really counts is that we share a similar vision. We are happy to be partnering up with DIH in making our foothold stronger in the Region" said Yash Chopra, Chairman of Yash Raj Films.
"The first phase of the YRF Entertainment District is scheduled to be completed by 2012." Added Mr. Chopra
