Pritam is certainly enjoying composing for Atif Aslam.
After 'Pehli Nazar Mein' [RACE], which turned out to be a huge success and is still resulting in the album being one of the Top-3 sellers in spite of being on the stands for six months, Pritam has collaborated with Atif Aslam once again for KISMAT KONNECTION. This time around, the song in question is 'Bakhuda' that is picturised on Shahid Kapoor and Vidya Balan. Written by Sayeed Quadri, the number has Alka Yagnik pairing as Aslam's co-singer.
The number is special since it merges the style of both Pritam and Atif Aslam and doesn't result in any of the two loosing their identity or taking over the show completely. A beautiful melody that also boasts of some eye catchy picturisation, courtesy the foreign outdoor locales it has been shot at, 'Bakuhda' is easily the second potentially successful number in a row after Neeraj Sridhar sung title song which has been on for over a fortnight.
With KISMAT KONNECTION promising to burn the charts and SINGH IS KINNG all set to reign from the top, it is crystal clear that Pritam would continue to dominate Quarter 3 of 2008 as well, just like the first half of the year that saw RACE and JANNAT turning out to be smash-hit musicals.
