It is going to be a battle of realism v/s candy floss as Ram Gopal Varma and Shahid Kapoor take on each other this July.
Though the two haven't come together in a film so far (and it looks unlikely that they would ever in the future, considering the genre of films that the two are associated with), Ramu and Shahid Kapoor would be clashing with each other on 18th July as their CONTRACT and KISMAT KONNECTION hit the theaters on the same day.
The two films are in complete contrast of each other. While Ramu's CONTRACT promises to be yet another dark and gritty cinema in the making because of its underworld/terrorism connection, it's a different kind of 'connection' in KISMAT KONNECTION which looks like a fun-n-cool outing.
Ramu's film is seemingly third in the trilogy of his underworld films after SATYA and COMPANY. On the other hand Shahid Kapoor would be looking at taking his lover boy image forward after big hits like VIVAH and JAB WE MET in the last couple of years. With Aziz Mirza at the helm of direction, one can certainly expect a sensitive outing in KISMAT KONNECTION with ample fool good moments, especially so with Shahid-Vidya pairing looking quite unique.
In a matter of 3 weeks, we would see for ourselves how Ramu and Shahid's follow-up to SARKAR RAJ and JAB WE MET eventually make an impression at the ticket window!
