Ranvir Shorey is a happy man. His double role act in MITHYA has been widely appreciated while the film too has turned out to be a decent success in spite of low-key publicity and hype. At last count, the film has made close to 5 crores at the box office in 3 weeks flat, hence giving Ranvir his first bona fide solo lead success.
The media shy actor would now be seen in a multi starrer in a few weeks from now as his SIRF - LIFE LOOKS GREENER ON THE OTHER SIDE gears up for a 4th April release. A marital drama which has four stories running in parallel, this Rajaatsh Nayar directed film has Ranvir as one of the main leads apart from Kay Kay Menon, Parvin Dabbas and Ankur Khanna. While Sonali Kulkarni is paired opposite Ranvir, Manisha Koirala, Rituparna Sengupta and Nauheed Cyrusi are the other female actors in the film.
Though the film has number of stories, it isn't episodic in nature. Instead, it has all the couples belonging to different strata of society with each of them having their own problems to deal with. How they all come across each other on the cross road of life forms the crux of SIRF - LIFE LOOKS GREENER ON THE OTHER SIDE.
However, the film hasn't been given a dry and overtly serious treatment. Instead, it is a tongue in cheek look at the fast paced life of people in cities, whether big or small.
