DASHAVATAR is like tracing the source

Last couple of years has brought to Bollywood a spate of animation films centered on mythological characters. HANUMAN, BAL GANESHA, KRISHNA are just a few of them. However, all this made director Bhavik wonder what new could he present to audience which stemmed from the basis of Indian philosophy and mythology and still was a tad different from what was being made by other film makers. This is when the idea of DASHAVATAR came into existence.
'Whilst most production houses were tackling the popular stories like Hanuman, Ganesh, Krishna, etc. which would appeal to children at large, I decided to venture doing a story which surpasses them all and is the basis of Indian philosophy and mythology', says Bhavik.
Commenting upon Lord Vishnu, he adds, 'The trinity of Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh are the leading deities so I thought why not make a film on one of the leading deities from whom the popular avatars Ram and Krishna have emerged. It’s like tracing the source. In the pantheon of Hindu Mythology Lord Vishnu comes forth as a very colorful character and the subsequent film proved it to be so.'
DASHAVATAR is looking at a theatrical release all over this summer.
