Tejaswini KolhapureSahara One Motion Pictures' MUMBAI CUTTING is making news for its 11 directors capturing the myriad facets of this metro. But what is also interesting is the dedication of the actors. Tejaswini Kolhapure is one such actress.

So when the offer to act in the film came her way, she did not hesitate. "Shashank Ghosh and my husband Pankaj Saraswat have worked together in WAISA BHI HOTA HAI and I was quite happy when I was asked to play the part of the small town girl." A story that dealt with the psychology of a person when she is put in a particular situation, Tejaswini found the "out-of-the-box concept" and the treatment exciting. Shashank's calmness made her all the more keen.

"I thought he would get angry on the sets, but he was so calm. The cinematographer also knew my work and that made it all the more interesting."

But a particular situation made the best in Tejaswini come out. Says she, "In MUMBAI CUTTING, I am an upcoming actress from out of town and had to portray this small town girl frustrated in life having the last chance and I go out of my way do anything to get that job."

But it was not that easy as it sounds for the actress. "I had to look harrowed and at the same time look desirable. The scene required that I climb on top of a TT table with a mike fixed on my back; I had to climb and bend down and look very desirable in a particular line and light. To top it all it was not at all easy climbing again and again as my jeans were very tight.

Tejaswini gave the scene her best shot. Retake yelled Shashank Gosh. The light was not what he wanted. "He is a man with a vision," says Tejaswini though she gave 6 retakes to get the right light. "I merely followed that vision. And it was not easy to look desirable on camera and cope up with my body aches at the same time. But that is something that I think we all actors go through at some point or the other."
