After playing a Father in MY NAME IS ANTHONY GONSALVES earlier this year, Mithun Chakraborty would be seen in a different role this May. Now he would be changing gears and enacting the role of a Don, albeit the one who carries comic shades.
Titled DON MUTHUSWAMI, the film comes from the house of Shakti Samanta who is the man behind timeless classics like ARADHANA, KATI PATANG, AMAR PREM and many more. However, it is not the veteran film maker but his son Ashim Samanta who has taken over the responsibility of directing DON MUTHUSWAMI, a comedy. Asheem's last directorial outing was AANKHON MEIN TUM HO which was a box office failure.
Film's plot revolves around the character of a don (played by Mithun) who, in order to fulfill the wishes of his dying father, tries to go straight in life. The film's comic moments stem from Mithun's attempts to change into a gentleman from being a Don.
Releasing on 23rd May, DON MUTHUSWAMI also stars Hrishita Bhatt and Rohit Roy along with Mohit Raina, Shakti Kapoor, Dolly Minhas and Ali Asgar. The film has music by Anu Malik.
