6 years after he last explored the underbelly of underworld, Ram Gopal Varma is back into the familiar territory. He has wrapped up the shoot of CONTRACT which he plans to unleash in the month of July.
In the decade gone by, Ramu has got maximum acclaim for his films like COMPANY and SATYA. Incidentally both these films dealt with Mumbai underworld. Though SARKAR, his last successful outing at the box office, did hint at underworld too, it was centered more on the life and family of Subhash Nagre [Amitabh Bachchan] who ran a parallel government of his own in the film. Now he is back with CONTRACT which could well be termed as third in the trilogy of his underworld films. This time around the film also explores the angle around what happens when underworld meets terrorism. Promising to be another gritty affair, as obvious from the first teaser of the film which is out, CONTRACT stars relative newcomers like Prasad Purandare, Sakshi Gulati, Vineet Sharma, Sadia Siddiqui, Saurabh Mahajan and Amruta Khanvilkar.
