Sonu Sood is mighty excited that his EK VIVAAH AISA BHI has opened to fantabulous response in Bihar where it released on Wednesday itself to coincide with Chatt Pooja. Meanwhile he is waiting for reports to trickle in from rest of the country where the film has released yesterday. Even as he travels with his film across the country to promote it, he is all praise for Barjatyas and almost gets moist eyes as he remembers the treatment meted out to him.
"Seriously speaking, people like Rajshris do not exist any more", says Sonu fondly, "The kind of passion and dedication for cinema that I have seen in them can not be matched. They sleep, talk and breathe cinema. It's the intrinsic goodness in them which makes their films work and EK VIVAAH AISA BHI should not be any different. They pamper their artists so much that after you are through working with them, you almost feel stuffed while working with others. Rajshri folks really spoil you for life."
So is it going to be goodboy roles from here on if EK VIVAAH AISA BHI clicks?
"Thankfully I have never burdened myself with an image trap due to different kind of films that I have done throughout my career", says Sonu, "For me, getting into an image is not really a safe idea. I don't believe in it. I want surprises to keep coming to me so that I can continue to surprise my audience. Today, I get varied scripts to read and I take my own time to shortlist them. I try to do everything possible in order to bag different roles without worrying about an image."
