To fall in love with a thief is not something that every other girl would be willing to do. Especially so when she is fully aware that the man she is falling for is on the other side of the law. However, the character played by Neetu Chandra, Sonal, does exactly that as she fall in love with 'superchor' Abhay Deol in the film OYE LUCKY LUCKY OYE.
"I play this Punjabi girl who hails from lower middle class. She falls in love with Abhay while being fully aware that he is a thief", reveals Neetu who has played a Gujarati (TRAFFIC SIGNAL) and a Haryanvi girl (ONE TWO THREE) in her last two outings.
"Sonal is young and just in her third year of college. She is a little scared, woh dari hui hai! She tries to keep a shield around her to ensure that she is safe but at the bottom of the heart, she knows what she has got herself into. Dibakar Bannerjee, director of OLLO, himself has acknowledged that this was a very difficult to portray. At the end of the film's shooting when he said that he was more than satisfied with the way I met his vision for the character, I was delighted", adds Neetu.
