BAL GANESH bags two AWARDS!


BAL GANESH bagged the 'Li'l STAR Awards 2008' in India presented by Red Chillies Entertainment for the 'Best Animated Film' & the 'Best Animated Character' on 31 October 2008 at a star studded award function at Yash Raj Studios. The other nominees in these two categories were GHATOTHKACH –MASTER OF MAGIC, RETURN OF HANUMAN and DASHAVATAR.

Red Chillies presented India's first ever Li'l STAR Awards with its unique format, which empowers the kids to judge and select their favourites.

BAL GANESH has won the award based on a national survey conducted across 25 cities amongst thousands of children who have all voted for their best animated film and best animated character.

The final jury for the awards consisted of young popular child prodigies who have proved their mettle in the field of acting time and again in different mediums like films and television headed by Mrs. Neetu Kapoor.

Smita Maroo, VP Animation, Shemaroo Entertainment, shares her thoughts, "This is a very proud moment indeed for Shemaroo and our film BAL GANESH, since these awards have been selected by kids themselves. This only goes to show the popularity of BAL GANESH among children and the fact that all our marketing and publicity efforts have effectively and successfully connected with the target audience. These awards have definitely encouraged us, in an industry which is just starting up. Shemaroo will certainly ensure that we continue to bring many more fun–loving entertainment content for kids and family."

Shemaroo Entertainment has released two animated films in less than one year namely BAL GANESH and GHATOTHKACH – MASTER OF MAGIC. The other nominations – RETURN OF HANUMAN and DASHAVATAR – are also being marketed and distributed by Shemaroo across various platforms. Shemaroo Entertainment has emerged as one of the foremost players in the animation industry.
