The first results are out and after an excellent multiplex start in India, Karan Johar's Tarun Mansukhani directed DOSTANA has impressive numbers to show from the Overseas circuit.

To get into the details, the Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham, Priyanka Chopra and Bobby Deol (special appearance) starrer has appealed more to the US audience (gross wise) as compared to those in the UK. During its first weekend, DOSTANA has grossed $645,604 with an impressive print average of $8,724 from the US. In the UK, the film has notched up a gross of $503,485 with a great print average of $11,709! DOSTANA has also grossed Aus$ $89,308 during its first weekend in Australia.

What must be kept in mind is that this is the best opening weekend for a Hindi film since Akshay Kumar's SINGH IS KINNG. However, the overall Overseas leader for 2008 continues to be the Hrithik Roshan, Aishwarya Rai and Sonu Sood starrer, JODHAA AKBAR.
