Unlike other debutants in Bollywood who mostly prefer to begin their career with a fresh story/concept, Debutant Shweta Kumar chose a different path. She preferred to commence her Bollywood career with a remake film KARZZZZ instead.
Didn't she risk herself of having chosen a remake film rather at the start of her career?
But the young lass is quite upbeat about it and defends it by saying, "Whether a remake film or fresh story risk factor is everywhere, isn't it? What's the guarantee that working in a fresh film will definitely fetch me the returns? Infact I consider it a plus point to have worked in a remake film. Though it's a remake film but the makers have treated it really well. And you will observe the difference when you will watch it."
Being a daughter of such a prolific filmmaker Indra Kumar who gave many hits like DIL, BETA, ISHQ, MASTI, DHAMAAL, etc in the past and also established many a faces like Madhuri Dixit, Aamir Khan & many more, Shweta Kumar instead of getting established by her filmmaker Dad, opted to work with other filmmaker.
"Actually I was supposed to begin my career with my Dad's film. When Pa was working on DHAMAAL, it was at that time he decided to launch me in his next film. At the same time Satish Kaushikji, director of KARZZZZ, who is a close friend of my father, came up with the remake film KARZZZZ. He knew that my father was planning to launch me in movies. He approached my dad with this offer. We decided to go ahead because the movie was good with a strong script, good banner, strong starcast and a director whom my father trusted. And that's how KARZZZZ happened first."
