Rajshri's next outing features an unlikely casting of Sonu Sood and Eesha Koppikhar. Reason? Both of them have barely been a part of an out and out family entertainer and it is for the first time ever that the two would be seen in a project that requires them to go through a drastic image change.
'I wasn't surprised though when I was told that Eesha was to play the female lead in the film. I was in fact quite convinced and knew in my heart that she had just the right kind of face to play the part of 'Chandni', says Sonu Sood who has been enjoying an eventful 2008 with two back to back money spinners in the form of JODHAA AKBAR and SINGH IS KINNG.
'Long time back, both of us worked in a Tamil film together and I have known her for years. She is good with her acting skills and quite hard working. She has brought her own touch to the character and gave meaningful inputs to the way Chandni should be. Both of us would discuss at length about how our characters should react to a given situation. I guess this only added on the onscreen chemistry that you see between us in EK VIVAAH AISA BHI', says Sonu.
Talking about his own presence in the film, Sonu remembers, 'When I met Soorajji, the first thing I asked him was that what made him think of me as his Prem for the film. How was he so confident about my skills? I was pleasantly surprised when he told me that he had noticed three of my key shots in AASHIQ BANAYA AAPNE, one of which was my opening shot, and was convinced that I could portray Prem. After completion of the film, he came back to me again and said that I had exceeded his expectations. What more can one ask for?'
