Madhur Bhandarkar's FASHION has been in news for the 'A' certificate that it has fetched for itself. But wait, he is not alone. His situation could well be empathized by Wilson Louis, director of critically acclaimed HO SAKTA HAI, who is now ready with LONAVALA KHANDALA GHAT.
''I had to run around for 34 months for getting my film certified'', says Wilson Louis who is also ready with his KAALO, ''LONAVALA KHANDALA GHAT is a horror film and is bound to have scary elements in it. I was ok as long as the film was given 'A' certificate for theaters. However, I had some real tough convincing to do when it came for satellite rating since Censors wanted an 'A' certificate there as well.''
Giving his own reasoning, Wilson says, ''Getting 'A' certificate for home viewing is certainly not a good idea because not just the timings for a film screening turn out to be odd, even the price as it which the rights are sold come down on a relative scale. It took me about 34 months but eventually Censors agreed to give it a U/A certificate for satellite viewing.''
