While there have been many mainstream Bollywood movies, based around the Indian army, only a few of them could portray it genuinely. Some recent films that come to mind are Rahul Bose's SHAURYA, Hrithik Roshan's LAKSHYA and Nana Patekar's PRAHAAR but what else...? Well, there is Samir Karnik's HEROES!

Not many will be aware of the fact that Salman Khan wore the clothes of a real army jawan because the costume stitched for him looked brand new and, therefore, gave the impression that he was a new recruit. Even Sunny Deol, who in the film is from the air force, wore the air force station commander's flying suit.

Not only that, the 14 Core regiment based in Leh, comprising more then 100 jawans, was at the disposal of the film's unit when they were shooting there for 25 days.

The much awaited HEROES has already released to a good response!
