HANUMAN RETURNS, BAL GANESHA, GHATOTHKACH, DASHAVATAR, MY FRIEND GANESHA 2, CHAIN KULLI KI MAIN KULLI - What's common amongst all these films apart from the fact that majority of them have been made in animation? Well, a) all of them have been targeted at children and b) none of them have made any impression whatsoever at the box office.
However, finally one gets to see a film which shows a certain promise when it comes to entertaining audience. It is HARI PUTTAR - A COMEDY OF TERRORS which is based on HOME ALONE (and not HARRY POTTER, as speculated so far). A LIVE film with little elements of animation, the film looks like a fun ride all the way with good production values, something which is alarmingly missing in most of the films targeted at children. If promos are any indication, HARI PUTTAR has all in it to entice the audience comprising of children as well as adults, something which was the hallmark of HOME ALONE series as well.
Escapades of the young boy named Hari Puttar (played by Zain Khan), who is left with his friend (Swini Khara) in a mansion and has a task in hand when it comes to facing two intruders (Saurabh Shukla, Vijay Raaz), promise a joy ride all the way.
Looking at a release in the month of September, HARI PUTTAR is produced by Lucky Kohli, Munish Purii and A.P. Parigi with Lucky Kohli and Rajesh Bajaj joining hands to direct it. Aadesh Shrivastav and Guru Sharma have contributed to the songs and come up with an admirable job when it comes to getting the right ingredients in place for a fun filled score.
