After the success of FASHION, Kangana Ranuat is on cloud nine. The actress will now be seen in Milan Lutharia's ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAI and it is said that her character is inspired by veteran actress Madhubala. The film will speak about a very tender romance between the yesteryear actress and underworld don Haji Mastan which will be played by Ajay Devgan.
A source close to the film discloses, ''Kangana Ranuat will be playing an important character from the film industry. She plays on-screen Anarkali (Madhubala). It's a very tender romance between this funny don Haji Mastan (Ajay Devgan) and the female superstar (Kangna). The shooting of the film will start by the end of May or June.''
Further the source also informed us, ''As instructed, in the mean time she is watching lots of Madhubala films and reading articles which were published at that time. She is quite nervous about her role.''
We also spoke to Kangana's close source who confirmed about Kangana but denied to divulge anything else.
''She is doing this film but we can't reveal anything else apart from that.''
This is not first time that she is playing the autobiographical role of an actress. Earlier also she portrayed late Parveen Babi's life in WOH LAMHE and now it's Madhubala. This film is very dark and involves lots of research. Besides Ajay Devgan and Kangana, Emraan Hashmi and Prachi Desai will also be the part of this film.
