With the last Friday of April also being over, and no Hindi film scheduled to release on the next one, this year may well prove to be one of the worst in recent times. It is the time for the industry to get into the introspection mood as four months of 2009 will soon be over without a single clear cut hit film. And with the Indian Premiere League cricket matches in full swing, coupled with the embargo on new film releases still on, the position can't get any better for some time at least. Even if the dispute between the three sectors of the film industry gets resolved at an early date, the new films (biggies) cannot hit the screens before 4-5 weeks of aggressive promotion!

Moving on to the films that released, MERI PADOSAN, has been totally rejected by the audience. The film barely managed to collect 3 lakhs from Bombay, 2.50 lakhs from Ahmedabad, 1 lakh each (approx) from Delhi city and Ghaziabad. MERI PADOSAN has netted a dismal 20 lakhs in its first week and has already been removed from most cinemas.
