Remember Amita Pathak, the girl who made her debut with HAAL-E-DIL which had released last year and had sunk without a trace at the box office? Daughter of producer Kumar Mangat, who has made films like OMKARA, ONE TWO THREE, MONEY HAI TO HONEY HAI, SUNDAY and NO SMOKING in addition to HAAL-E-DIL, Amita had begun her acting career with Adhyayan Suman and Nakuul.

Now Amita is headed for production as she has been handed over the reins by her dad for ATITHI TUM KAB JAAOGE? which is currently under production. The film stars Ajay Devgn, Konkona Sen and Paresh Rawal. Meanwhile, where does this current development leave Amita's acting career?

CHECK OUT: Ajay Devgn's ATITHI TUM KAB JAAOGE? is an adaptation of a short story

"Her acting career is still on and she is in talks with 2-3 film makers. But in the meanwhile, she also wanted to learn film making and expressed her desire to produce ATITHI TUM KAB JAAOGE?. I am there for all the support but the film would be primarily her baby", says the doting father.

Currently, the shooting is progressing in full swing for ATITHI TUM KAB JAAOGE? which arrives under the banner of Warner Bros. Kumar Mangat is also supremely confident that after making ONE TWO THREE, Ashwani Dheer would yet again manage to come up with a laugh riot.

"Some people who are unaware about the economics of film making believe that ONE TWO THREE hadn't worked at the box office. However, ask any trade analyst and he would confirm that the film was a good success. I have complete faith in the abilities of Ashwani and am backing him quite strongly. The way he has written ATITHI... and is giving it a shape, I can foresee good results yet again", he signs off.

With lyrics by Irshad Kamil and music by Pritam, ATITHI TUM KAB JAAOGE? is all set for a 26th February 2010 release.
