The dazzling finale of Anandalok Purashkar 2009, held in Kolkata recently witnessed a bevy of Bollywood stars Rani Mukherji, Irrfan Khan, Asin and Neil Nitin Mukesh along with eminent Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap, along with popular names from Tollywood (Bengali film industry).
Anandalok Purashkar, a popular award ceremony in Eastern India, celebrates its twelfth year of felicitating the best on the silver and small screen, television and music.
The evening that brought the glitziest and the most glamorous of the Bollywood and Tollywood fraternity together also had performances by Pritam and his band 'Metro' featuring Sohail, Antara, Utpal and Soham; along with sizzling dance numbers by renowned Tollywood actors Suvosree and Hiron.
The awards were given out to the Best Actors- both male and female, Best Debutants- both male and female, Best Music Director, Best Director and the Best Film in the film category.
The television category will have awards for the Best Serial and Best Actor both male and female.
Anandalok Purashkar 2009 also recognized the achievements in non-film music by felicitating the Best Non-film Music Album.
This year, a new category- the 'Face of 2009' has also been introduced - for which the Most Successful upcoming face of Entertainment Industry was awarded.
