AKSHAY KUMAR and AISHWARYA RAI BACHCHAN
ACTION REPLAY, the film starring Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai in lead roles, may have to wait for a while before it hits the marquee. Though the principal shooting of the film began early this year, there is still one schedule waiting to be shot. A few months back the makers had announced April 2010 as the tentative month for the film's release but chances are that the film may move to a later day.
Says Vipul Shah who is producing as well as directing this film about time travel, "We will look at the market condition and then bring in ACTION REPLAY. There is no hurry and neither am I restricted from any quarters."
Unlike numerous Akshay Kumar starrers that wrap up in a jiffy and see a quick release (case in point being recent arrival DE DANA DAN or KHATTA MEETHA which is almost ready), ACTION REPLAY is taking a while to reach the finishing mark. Due to it's theme that requires the characters to traverse between 1975 and the current times, there are bound to be longer and more spread out shooting schedules.
"We have one schedule left which should most likely get completed January next year. We will assess the situation then and take the final call. If the market isn't good then, I will move ACTION REPLAY from April", says Vipul in a candid tone.
ACTION REPLAY also stars veteran Randhir Kapoor in an important role along with Ranvijay Singh, a popular VJ who was last seen in Vipul's own LONDON DREAMS. Pritam has composed the music for the film which is touted to be a neat family entertainer instead of being an action flick, something that the title otherwise conveys.
